Terms of service

The proposed terms for accounts, data processing and subscriptions provided by AltDat LLC.

AltDat LLC · Draft updated October 4, 2026

Review draft. We are preparing these policies for launch. This version is not yet final. Contact support@altdat.com with questions.

Agreement and eligibility

These terms describe the agreement between you and AltDat LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company, for the AltDat API, website and account services. You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter an agreement. If you act for an organization, you must have authority to bind it.

The service is designed for data-processing work. Microsoft's licensing and terms for Power Automate, and the terms of storage or other connected services, apply separately. A separately signed agreement with AltDat controls where it expressly replaces these terms.

Accounts and security

Provide accurate account and billing details, verify your email address, and protect your password and API keys. You are responsible for people you authorize to use your account and for their compliance with these terms. Notify support promptly about suspected unauthorized access.

You can revoke API keys through the dashboard. Plans describe processing capacity and features; separate user seats or shared workspaces are included only where expressly offered.

Your data and results

You retain your rights in the data you submit. You grant AltDat the permission needed to process, transmit and return it according to your requests and to provide support you request. You must have the rights and permissions required to submit that data, including personal information belonging to others.

Keep your own source files and any results you need, and check outputs before relying on them. AltDat processes files and does not provide a backup archive. The privacy policy explains handling of customer content and service records.

If your organization needs a data-processing agreement, regulated-data safeguards or a particular processing location, contact us before sending that data. Such requirements need a separate agreement and are not included in these standard terms.

Acceptable use

  • Use AltDat lawfully and only for data and systems you are authorized to access.
  • Do not bypass authentication, credits, rate limits or security controls; access another customer's information; or deliberately disrupt the service.
  • Do not submit malicious code or exploit attempts, or use the service to infringe others' rights.
  • Follow documented input, output and execution limits. Retry errors only where the response indicates that a retry can help.

You may build authorized applications and workflows using the API. Access does not transfer ownership of AltDat's software, branding or service.

Subscriptions and credits

Prices, billing intervals and plan allowances are shown before you purchase. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the selected interval until canceled. Checkout identifies the charge and any applicable taxes or discounts. You authorize those recurring charges and are responsible for taxes shown as payable by you.

Usage is measured in credits according to the operation and input volume. Separate row, file-size, output, rate and execution limits apply. Annual payment does not combine a year's monthly credits into one balance. Credits are a service allowance, not money or a refundable stored balance.

Supported upgrades take effect immediately with proration. Downgrades take effect at the next renewal. Existing paid access continues while a past-due payment is being retried; it ends if the subscription becomes unpaid or is canceled. An unsuccessful initial payment does not grant paid access.

We will give notice of price or material plan changes before they affect a renewal, as required by applicable law. You may turn off renewal before the change takes effect. Any separate agreement governing your plan also applies.

Cancellation and refunds

Use Manage Subscription in the dashboard to stop renewal. Standard cancellation leaves access available through the paid term. To request a refund and an earlier end to paid access, email support with the account and invoice details.

The cancellations and refunds policy sets out the monthly windows, which restart each billing cycle, and refunds for unused annual subscription time. Canceling renewal does not by itself submit a refund request.

Any mandatory rights to withdraw, cancel, receive a refund or obtain a remedy under applicable law take priority over the voluntary policy. We do not treat use of an API key as a blanket waiver of those rights.

Availability and support

Requests may be delayed or fail because of invalid data, capacity, maintenance, plan limits or services operated by others. We may maintain and update AltDat. The public plans do not establish a guaranteed uptime or support-response time; any agreed service level must be stated separately.

Contact support@altdat.com for help. Include a request ID, action name and a small invented example where useful. Keep credentials, payment-card details and confidential files out of an initial support message.

Suspension and termination

We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address a security threat, unlawful use, a material breach or unpaid charges. Where practicable, we will explain the issue and provide an opportunity to resolve it. Immediate action may be needed to protect the service or others.

You may request account closure through support. Subscription cancellation and account deletion are separate. If we discontinue a paid service for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will address unused prepaid service and applicable refund rights. Required billing or legal records may remain after closure as described in the privacy policy.

Warranties and liability

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without a promise that every request will be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every purpose. You are responsible for reviewing results and maintaining source copies. This does not exclude any warranty or remedy that the law requires.

To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable under these terms for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits resulting from interrupted workflows. The proposed limit on AltDat's total liability arising from the service is the greater of the fees you paid AltDat during the preceding 12 months or US$100.

Those exclusions and limits do not apply where unlawful, including liability that applicable law makes non-excludable. Nothing limits your mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.

Law, disputes and changes

These proposed terms use Tennessee law, subject to mandatory laws that apply where you live. Contact support so we can try to resolve a dispute. Tennessee courts are the proposed forum where lawfully agreed; this does not remove a consumer's right to bring a claim in a court available under mandatory law.

We may update these terms with a revised date and give notice of material changes before they apply where required. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent permitted by law. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration or a waiver of rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
